Nordic summer school in PV

FME SOLAR is co-arranging a nordic summer school within PV, taking place in Roskilde, Denmark, on the 17th - 21st of Augus

We would like to invite you to the International PV Summer School 2026, covering the full photovoltaic value chain – from materials and device physics to modules, systems, and real-world applications. The programme includes organic and perovskite solar cells, silicon technologies from feedstock to module level, and emerging system applications such as building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), agrivoltaics, and floating PV.

The event is jointly organised by the PV research teams at DTU Electro (Risø Campus), Aarhus University, and the Mads Clausen Institute at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), in collaboration with Uppsala University and the Norwegian PV research centre (FME SOLAR) partners Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SINTEF, University of Oslo, University of Agder, and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).

Who should join
The school primarily addresses PhD students but others can attend. Invited speakers, all recognized scientists from leading world laboratories, will give lectures covering topics from fundamental principles of conversion of solar energy into electrical energy as well as their technological applications in photovoltaics devices. Also maintenance of PV systems are covered.
